I always left my fruit on the counter for at least 2 days in perfect lines to be admired. It was a joy to see my grandchildren enjoy them.Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18230626634299853130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2014034052886950661.post-49926693266088356032008-10-11T23:56:00.000-06:002008-10-11T23:56:00.000-06:00I don't know about the canning part, but I took Cl...I don't know about the canning part, but I took Claire to a farm the other day and we picked our own pears. She loved it. They were just perfect for the picking, even an almost two year old could grasp one easily. She has never liked pears before but she has eaten them daily since. I think it is fun for her to know that she had a part in bringing them into our home.TnDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07162171248780617638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2014034052886950661.post-62656547623644595612008-10-10T18:40:00.000-06:002008-10-10T18:40:00.000-06:00It's definitely a lost art for those of my generat...It's definitely a lost art for those of my generation where "canned peaches" meant a can of peaches. I do remember helping my mom make raspberry jam as a kid, though. Oh, and the year we had a huge crop of cucumbers we made pickles. Pickles, pickles everywhere. There are probably still some in my mom's food storage somewhere.Just one tall girl named Laurelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14041744853525049504noreply@blogger.com
